Dr. Craig received her bachelor of science in Biology from the University of North Carolina – Charlotte in 2003 and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the Atlantic Veterinary College in Prince Edward Island, Canada in 2009. After graduating with her DVM, she was initially drawn to emergency medicine and completed intensive medical training with internships in Connecticut, Los Angeles and UC Davis.
After a few years in clinical medicine, Dr. Craig realized there is a subset of patients with chronic pain conditions. These patients have unique challenges of the home and lifestyle and there is more that can be done to improve their overall quality of life and the pet-owner bond. This stimulated additional study and she completed certification in 2017 with Veterinary Medical Acupuncture at Curacore (previously known as Colorado State University Program). She has eagerly integrated this modality in treating her patients. Dr. Craig’s other areas of interests include chronic pain management, massage, hospice, emergency medicine and respiratory disease. She also has goals of becoming certified in animal rehabilitation therapy.
Dr. Craig grew up outside of Chicago and now lives in the Los Angeles area with her family and 2 dogs, a one-eyed scottie named Grace, and a shaggy blonde mutt, Simon.
